The sixth-largest city in the state of Texas, El Paso is situated in the far western part of the state on the north bank of the Rio Grande. The city lies at the intersection of three states that inclde Texas, New Mexico, and Chihuahua and two countries that include the USA and Mexico.

The city has a total area of 648.9 km². El Paso, TX offers you so much to see such as Sunland park Racetrack, the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center, El Paso Pro Musica, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, Chamizal National Memorial Park Theater, the El Paso Playhouse and the list goes on.

The largest urban park in the United States named Franklin Mountains State Park is also situated in the city. The city is surrounded by the Chihuahuan Desert. El Paso is the fourth largest city in Texas, and 22nd in size in the United States. The city has over 348 churches.

Shielded by mountains on three sides, El Paso has a semi-arid climate. Summers are very hot and winters are dry, mild. El Paso is in the Mountain Time Zone. With abundant sunshine, you can enjoy most outdoor activities year-round. Annual rainfall is only 8.65 inches and most of which occurs during the summer from July through September.

With 302 days sun shines per year, the city is friendly to golfers. El Paso is often called the Sun City. During summers you should wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. The city offers you affordable cost of living and also counts with seven movie theaters, three shopping malls, an amusement park, and a zoo.

 The economy of the city is driven by variety of things such as: apparel, electronics, food processing, medical device manufacturing, oil refineries, plastics, and defense manufacturing. Shopping lovers can easily find great shopping centres that are situated in every corner of the city.

White Sands National Monument, the Gila Wilderness, Hueco Tanks, the Guadalupe Mountains, and Carlsbad Caverns are all situated just few miles away. Real estate market in the city is affordable. You can easily find a home with all amentities at affordable rates. With 300 apartment complexes, the city offers you both furnished and unfurnished accommodations throughout town.

For golf lovers, El Paso has four private golf courses, two military courses, and seven public courses. The city offers you various amazing nightspots such as: bars and clubs near UTEP; dance halls and clubs on the West side near Doniphan and much more… With the Mexico border and neighboring Juarez just minutes from downtown, tourists have easy access to a diverse variety of shops and restaurants.

As per education is concerned. The city has total four school districts that include El Paso Independent School District, Ysleta Independent School District, Clint Independent School District, and Socorro Independent School District. For higher education, various colleges are also located in the city. El Paso is home to The University of Texas at El Paso.

With plenty of parks and gardens as well as mountain and desert trails in El Paso, you can enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The city has the oldest symphony orchestra in Texas.
